Privacy Policy

This site belongs to Catherine R. Bell and The Awakened Company. We collect as little personal information as possible, use it only for the reasons below, and never sell it.

What we collect, and why

Contact form. When you send a message, we receive your name, email address, subject and message so we can reply. Messages are delivered through Formspree, which stores them on our behalf, and arrive in our inbox at info@awakenedcompany.com.

Weekly Inspiration newsletter. When you sign up, we receive your email address and use it to send you our weekly email. The list is managed by Mailchimp, which may record whether emails are opened or links are clicked. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Site analytics. We use Plausible Analytics to count visits and see which pages and links are popular. Plausible uses no cookies and collects no personal information; we only see totals, never individual visitors.

Services that load when you visit

The site is hosted by GitHub Pages, which may log visitors' IP addresses for security. Our fonts are provided by Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to load them. Links to other sites, such as book retailers, podcasts and social media, are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages only as long as needed to respond and follow up. We keep your newsletter email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing info@awakenedcompany.com. If you have a concern we haven't resolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
